Our client based in Worthing is looking to recruit a Sales Consultant
To build and then covert a high-quality sales pipeline which will enable breakthrough growth for the Company, using qualified warm leads provided by the Company. The role is essentially a new business role responsible for identification, development and ultimate closing of an extensive pipeline - aiming to exceed sales targets set on a monthly basis. The role requires a self-disciplined approach to ongoing pipeline management in order to achieve the minimum required goals.
The longer-term aspiration for the successful candidate for this role, would be to progress into a management role responsible for a team of telephone-based Protection Consultants
Responsibilities
* Prospect management. To proactively engage with the target market in order to facilitate warm dialogue prior to the formal sales process. The minimum expected pipeline would be to maintain at least 30 active opportunities at any one time, with enough new opportunities entering the sales funnel to replace those that close.
* Sales process management. Adhere to the defined 9 stage sales process, as required by our regulators. It is important to become an expert at the process so that it enables opportunity.
* Policy implementation. To oversee the implementation of new business policies that have been won to ensure that the plan holders receive a high quality on-boarding process and that the underwriting process is managed as smoothly as possible.
* Revenue Targets. Ensure that the individual sales target is hit, through active management of a live sales pipeline. The sales target would be GBP7200 annual premium sold each month - net of any lapsed policies.
* Sales Meetings. Attend meetings as required.
* Systems / Governance. Ensure that the data entry and data protection measures required are upheld within any systems.
* Role model. The role requires the individual to openly espouse the company values and become advocates.
* Internal relationships. Build relationships within the wider organisation as it grows, to unlock technical expertise when the customer requires it. Connections should be built with both internal and external stakeholders. This will include developing relationships with the Management and Support teams, to receive and provide support, advice and guidance as appropriate.
Requirements
* Ability to think and operate in a fast paced environment, is very self- driven and reward motivated
* Highly developed influencing and relationship management skills: both internally and externally
* Proven track record of building, maintaining and delivering a sizable sales pipeline
* Has strong external drive to deliver results and achieve personally.
* Able to coach, develop and train others
* Excellent communication skills; ability to present confidently and effectively, influence the thinking of potential customers and close deals
* IT skills - including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
* Basic financial services qualifications preferred but not required. If not already qualified, the client will facilitate enrolment to suitable course (R05) within the first 12 months of the employment commencing.
