A lovely setting in Haywards Heath are seeking an Nursery Practitioner to join their team. The role would be working 4 days a week, 38 hours with an hourly rate of GBP8.10.
Role responsibilities:
* to assist in the setting up and clearing away of all activities and equipment;
* to ensure that high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times;
* to ensure that any information received concerning the children is kept confidential at all times;
* To ensure all practice is Inclusive
* to assist in the provision of a wide variety of activities for the children as required by the Nursery Manager & EYP
* to attend staff meetings as requested;
* to attend training as requested and agreed by the Nursery Manager;
* to be involved in curriculum planning, policy writing and record keeping as requested by the Nursery Manager & EYP
* to encourage the participation and involvement of all parents of children attending the nursery;
* to actively encourage children's progress in all areas of development, types and stages of play, by interaction and extension of play activities;
* to undertake a key person role with specific children;
* to report and discuss with the Nursery Manager any observations or personal insight appropriate to a child's welfare and development;
* To report any concerns or Child Protection concerns to the Nursery Manager immediately
* to be responsible for keeping the Learning Journal file for each of the children in the key person group;
* To work as part of a team and support colleagues;
* Support the work and beliefs of the nursery by helping to create an all inclusive environment that promotes open and equal opportunities for children and adults.
Requirements:
* A level 2/3 qualification appropriate for the care and development of children is required
* First Aid Qualified
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* A good knowledge of the EYFS
