MSV’s asset management team provides day-to-day, responsive and void works reactive repairs, maintenance and compliance services. We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Inspector to join the team.
 
The purpose of this role is to support the effective delivery of the group’s day to day, responsive and void works, reactive repairs, maintenance and compliance services.  You will ensure the effective management of disrepair and associated programmes of work for MSV residential properties so they are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standards. You will also support the reactive repairs manager to ensure a full investigation and response to repair-related complaints and insurance claims.
 
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of dealing with disrepair claims in a social housing environment, with experience of the inspection and survey of domestic property and the diagnosis and remedy of maintenance problems. You will be able to work with minimal supervision and manage your own daily schedule, using your initiative to make decisions. With excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills, you will be able to relate to other members of staff, customers and external partners for all aspects of the group’s work. Possession of a relevant qualification (such as HNC Building Studies) and a thorough understanding of relevant building and industry legislation is essential for success in this role. The successful applicant will also need a full current driving license.
