Our client based in Daventry, Northamptonshire are looking for a business development manager to join their security management group. Our client has had many years of experience in the security industry and associated fields. Our client is formed by a group of highly-motivated security professionals who want to provide the best service possible to their customers. Our client listens to the needs and requirements of the customer, identifying and understanding their precise requirements conducting site surveys and consultations to present a clear and appropriate strategy to deal with any identified security issues. Our client provides a variety of services including commercial security, construction site security, consultancy, electronic security, key holding and alarm response, manned guarding and patrol services.
As the business development manager, you will be responsible for attracting new business as well as selling more services to current business. You will play a vital role in the growth of the company which could lead to you managing your own team.

This role includes (but not limited to)
Generate leads - Cold call prospective customers and seek out the appropriate contact
Identify new business opportunities - Customers, products, growth areas, trends and services
Sales pipeline - Create a sales pipeline
Sales analysis - Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and report findings to senior management
Sales campaign - Help to plan and implement sales campaign's
Up-sell - Use existing contacts and databases to promote other services.
Good product/service knowledge - Able to provide the customer with the correct information and advice on the services available
Client meetings - Attend meetings with potential and current clients
Networking - Attend relevant seminars, conferences and events
Strategic thinking - Set targets and objectives in order to develop and improve business
Work strategically - Carrying out plans in order to implement changes
Improve business operations - Seek ways to improve the business operations and to improve services
Marketing - Arranging and implementing a promotional strategy and liasing with relevant teams (e.g. marketing).
Evaluate trends - Keep up to date with trends and changes in the business world.
Field based - You will be in the office for 1/2 days a week and out and about for the other 3/4 days.
KPI's are (but not limited to)
40 new prospects per week
1 new client meeting per week
What's on offer
A salary of GBP28,000 per annum
1.5% commission on all contracted work
Car allowance (will be reviewed after completion of probation period)
