Content Editor - (Arabic/Content Assurance/Digital)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Content Editor to join a fast paced complex global organisation. Your role will be to provide intensive content screening services and versioning of master for our clients.
Content material you will review from a compliance perspective will include both movies and TV programs. You will vigilantly screen and edit the content as per guidelines provided by the global organisation. This role involves working with global teams and adhering to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Non-Linear Editing using Premiere.
- Attention to detail and accurate content screening and versioning of material using Premiere
- Awareness of various client's content guidelines to enhance the creative and quality of programming by diligent screening and versioning.
- Compliance editing from previously screened content using EDLs
- Editing other formats including compiling of programmes, audio laybacks and subtitling.
- QC of Masters
- Receive and prepare digital content for Technical departments.
- COM/AVOD liaison and support.
- Producing and maintaining accurate detailed records of communications and materials as required.
- Managing & monitoring deadlines.
- Personnel training within the department
- Down/up loading digital content to/from a variety of sources.
- Updating metadata where appropriate;
- Supporting internal staff members with general digital assets enquires at their request.
- Completing ad hoc projects as instructed by members of the Senior Management Team.
Experience
- Arabic and English speaking is essential, with an understanding of Arabic culture.
- Advanced knowledge of NLE editing using Premiere
- Knowledge of digital video standard including broadcast codecs, frame rates, aspect ratio preservation and standards conversion.
- Exemplary attention to detail and accurate content screening
- Experience versioning masters per guidelines within the airline industry or Ofcom would be advantageous.
- Experience with subtitle formats would also be beneficial.
- Basic familiarity of Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel are beneficial, as are general PC-based skills and experience
- Excellent communication skills both written, and speaking are essential.
- The ability to consistently deliver work of high quality against tight deadlines is considered an important attribute for people performing this role
- Knowledge of additional languages would be useful.

Required
A passion for content and confidence in communicating both internally and externally, along with a strong work ethic. Previous experience within a media/content environment along with a proficient in the Arabic language.
