Activate Learning is a forward thinking organisation, where people come first. Activate Learning's standards of behaviour encourage staff to earn respect by aiming high and making things happen; this unique ethos cultivates creativity, innovation and an aspirational learning environment for both staff and students. Teaching and learning is at the heart of all we do. Working at Activate Learning promises to be challenging, however, as a large organisation, we can offer staff exceptional opportunities to develop their own professional skills, supported and guided by nationally recognised teaching and learning experts.

We welcome both applicants who have experience of assessing as well as those who do not have assessing experience but who are currently working in industry and who are interested in becoming involved in teaching, assessing and training.

The Technology Faculty, covers Engineering, ICT, Motor Vehicle Maintenance, Construction and Vehicle Restoration provision across all Activate Learning campuses. Assessors are responsible for the learning and assessment of their specialist programmes, which may vary across different programme levels, depending on the needs of the learners and the faculty. We teach both full time students on Study Programmes as well as apprenticeships and Higher Education (HNC /HND). The faculty has developed effective, supportive subject specialist communities, which ensure continuity of delivery, standardisation of practice and sharing of resources.

The faculty prides itself on the close relationships developed with a wide range of different employers. Employers are instrumental in supporting the delivery of curricula through project-based learning, ensuring that delivery and course content meet the needs of local industry. All learners undertake extensive work placements and employers are encouraged to work with teaching staff to develop relevant and innovative learning environments.

This role provides outstanding assessment and instruction to underpin the requisite knowledge and techniques on programmes either in the workplace or in a classroom environment. Students will be assessed and/ or verified in accordance with internal and external quality standards, and develop the necessary employability skills that employers are looking for.

Activate Learning are committed to employing disabled people and will ensure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible. We guarantee to offer an interview to all applicants with a disability provided they meet the essential criteria for a role. We will anticipate and provide reasonable adjustments as required and support any existing employee who acquires a disability or long-term health condition, enabling them to stay in work. If you require an accessible format please contact us.
