A great opportunity for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a busy Landscape Design, Installation and Maintenance company in the West Kent area within their Grounds Maintenance & Landscape Maintenance team.
Grounds Maintenance Operative Duties:
* Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks.
* Use equipment and materials in a safe manner, as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and method statements and the manufacturer's guidance.
Grounds Maintenance Operative Duties Will Include:
* Maintenance of commercial and residential grounds, including hedge cutting & removal, grass cutting and lawn care, planting, weeding and general lawn and flower bed care
* Using gardening tools in a safe manner including, power tools such as trimmers and cutters etc.
* Hard and soft landscaping
Grounds Maintenance Operative Skills & Experience
* Relevant experience in a similar role
* Must work well in a team
* Groundwork's/Landscaping and Gardening experience
* Loading and unloading hard landscape materials, trees and plants.
* Planting of gardens
* Extreme attention to detail
* Have responsible plant knowledge
* Hours Of Work 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday
Grounds Maintenance Operative Attributes
* Hard working and motivated to achieve high standards of work on every project.
* You will be a self-starter who can work with limited or no supervision.
* Must hold full Uk driving license
* Experience of using powered machinery, Blowers, Strimmers etc
* Strict Health & Safety Awareness
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing at all levels.
* ROLO or CSCS certification preferred.
* NVQ level 2 in horticulture or equivalent would be beneficial but not essential
Grounds Maintenance Operative Salary/Rate
* GBP8.55 to GBP9:15 Per Hour DOE (cGBP18,000 to GBP19,000 Per Annum
* IMMEDIATE STARTS AVAILABLE
* Further training and development, support for career development including training courses
* Full PPE and uniform allowance
