About The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to fulfil the role of Senior Consultant in the Modelling and Analytics Service area within our Future Mobility portfolio. You will be part of a team of consultants involved in big data analysis and supporting the team's activities within the wider business context.

The position will involve working on a wide range of activities in the Future Mobility portfolio. To enable this you will have excellent analytic and numerical skills with a capability in multiple computer languages and data manipulation software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within the Modelling and Analytics team on a variety of projects relating to big data and analysis
  • Maintaining analysis tools
  • Writing tenders and bidding for big data and analytics work
  • Leading on project inputs
  • Assist the wider team with Smart Motorways Calibration and Optimisation projects
  • Develop quality outputs for clients including reports, processes, policies, technical data analysis and literature
  • Design, analysis and presentation of consultancy projects, carrying out a broad range of analyses autonomously and supporting members of the team to deliver projects
  • Write concise, client-focused technical reports, often for non-technical audiences
  • Presentation of findings to clients and stakeholders, developing and pursuing new business opportunities

Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working with big datasets and methods of manipulation
  • Experience in C#, SQL server, MS excel, ASP.Net
  • Creativity in identifying how technical needs can be resolved
  • Self-motivation, being able to both lead and work as a member of a cross-disciplinary team
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Good team working skills, together with a flexible approach to working patterns
  • Ability to produce clear, precise and coherent analysis to aid in problem solving and production of technical reports that meet the needs and requirements of the target audience
  • Degree qualified or equivalent with relevant experience

Communication Requirements

Eligible candidates must be able to demonstrate fluency in both verbal and written English.
