Aviation Security Officer

A uniformed Security Role. Directly accountable to the Aviation Security Supervisor and responsible for meeting the requirements of the Department for Transport National Aviation Security Programme (NASP) requirements of Airbus at the Airbus Broughton site.

Responsibilities

• The discharge of all required Aviation Security and Airside access perimeter patrols and recording of visits to designated points/buildings

• Discharging duties associated with passenger screening in accordance with the Hawarden Airport Security Plan and the National Aviation Security Programme.
• Discharging duties associated with airside security requirements.
• Supporting the main site security when required (licensed personnel only)
• The provision of an effective security presence and service delivery
• Implementing the dissemination of information, intelligence and instructions by supervised security personnel
• Conformity to Standing Operating Procedures
• Responding too and dealing with all airfield and site emergencies.
• The inspection of accommodation, vehicles and equipment, recording all deficiency(s) at the commencement of shift.

You will be required as part of your position to complete a SIA qualification with Securitas (If you do not already hold a license) You will also complete P.S.O training and other courses to aid your development within the company inline with the Securitas core values.

Previous experience is desirable and likely to have been gained in an armed service, civil police and/or Airport environment. The post-holder is required to be educated to a satisfactory standard, physically fit, well presented and hold a current driving licence that is free of endorsement.
To operate in this role you must have completed your Airbus Baseline Clearance and successfully passed a UK CTC check.

This role will require you to complete a full medical examination inline with Airbus Aerodrome requirements.

The following professional qualifications are preferred however training will be given to suitable applicants:
• Aviation NASP Ground Security Officer (Level 1)
• Certified in First Aid.
• Trained in elementary Fire procedures.
