Job Description Manufacturing Operative
Exciting new Permanent opportunity for a Manufacturing Operative based in Southampton.
Following a recent expansion, our global Electronic, Defence & Security client is currently looking to expand their team in Southampton with an experienced Site Security Manager.
As a Manufacturing Operative your role includes performing day to day manufacturing tasks using documented guidelines and instructions within one of the Southampton Manufacturing Areas. This includes using a range of tools and processes defined to achieve the Production outputs required. The applicant will need to communicate with other members of the Manufacturing and Engineering Teams to problem solve and ensure that Production throughput is maintained at all times.
Key Responsibility's:
*To work within well-defined procedures, with limited supervision and escalate problems to immediate supervisor for resolution as they arise, in order to complete assigned tasks.
*Inspect goods prior to stocking to ensure they meet defined specification, using appropriate inspection techniques (including physical measurements, comparison to drawings, counting, visual check for physical damage, documentation and /or certification check).
*Make judgements, where necessary, on whether products meet defined specification to ensure satisfaction of internal and external customers.
*Complete basic assembly/ test/ process of a variety of kits using multiple parts in order to make an end product, from specific drawings and instructions.
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required:
*Detailed knowledge of specific procedures (training will be given).
*Understanding of basic design/ engineering drawings & Manufacturing Work Instructions
*Able to work on own initiative.
*Able to identify and solve routine problems.
*Roles at this level will require good level of manual dexterity May require external certification in order to complete specific tasks/ processes.
*Takes responsibility for personal Self Development
*Demonstrates initiative and flexibility through developing additional technical skills
