CONTAINER FREIGHT TRANSPORT PLANNER
GBP20,000 to GBP25,000 - Previous Container Transport / Intermodal experience required
Based in Birmingham

We are eager to recruit a CONTAINER FREIGHT TRANSPORT PLANNER who has experience of working in a busy, fast paced and at times hectic Container Transport department.
Requiring a candidate who has previously handled Container Freight Transport and day to day duties to include;
- Liaising with Ports, Shipping Lines, Customers and Hauliers
- Accepting bookings
- Arranging the delivery and collection of Containers nationally
- Planning and Routing Container movements via Road & Rail,
- Liaising with customers and offices through the UK to arrange Container Freight transport solutions
- Transport administration, raising manifests, data entry, chasing POD's, filing, faxing and photocopying etc.
The successful candidate is required to have strong IT skills and have ideally used the TOPS system, be a quick learner and able to prioritise their workload with a flexible approach. Hard working, able to think on their feet and have previous experience of working in a Container Road and/or Rail Freight environment.
