Support Workers

Rate: £7.38 for unders 25s (increasing to £7.80 per hour on successful completion of probation) and £7.83 per hour for over 25s

We are currently seeking support workers and team leaders to join the team at The Peele. The Peele is a 108 bed state-of-the-art care home based in Wythenshawe, Manchester. We provide specialist residential and nursing care to older people and people living with dementia.

We want to hear from caring, enthusiastic and dedicated team players with a can-do approach who will be committed to support people to have a great life through innovative person centred support.

We currently have vacancies on day and night shifts across seven days per week. There are also opportunities to join the bank team.

About You

Are you age 25 or under? At Community Integrated Care, not only will you receive a range of benefits, you will also be paid £7.80 per hour on successful completion of a 3 month probation period. We are proud to be able to offer our younger workers a competitive rate which is significantly higher than the national minimum wage.

Previous experience is not essential for support worker roles as we provide a comprehensive induction and training programme. Our ideal Support Workers will be:

  • Self-motivated with energy and drive
  • Reliable, friendly and caring to support the people we support to achieve their everyday goals (including personal care)
  • Able to support in house activities and hobbies
  • Confident and inspire the person we support to achieve more
  • Able to help manage some behaviours that may challenge the norm – we provide training and guidance to enable you to do this
  • Comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role - training can be offered to support this area
