We are looking for an experienced SHEQ Manager to join a Darlington based chemical manufacturing company. Your responsibilities will be to implement, maintain and improve the health and safety, quality and environmental management systems for the company's 2 UK sites.

The Darlington site is lower tier COMAH, they manufacture a range of speciality chemical products and have analytical laboratories on site. The research and development is conducted at laboratory facilities at a separate site. Both sites have personnel who routinely handle hazardous chemicals. Your role will be to maintain the COMAH requirements, manage the ISO9001 and 14001 quality and environmental management system, lead the project to implement RC14001, conduct audits, provide advice, keep track of legislation changes, investigate incidents and where possible, implement improvements and efficiencies.

Suitable candidates will have current SHEQ management experience, ideally in a chemical manufacturing or laboratory environment. You must be a self-starter and be able to work autonomously; you will be given the responsibility of managing your own priorities and workload in line with the company's SHEQ policies.
