An award-winning provider of creative, print, online, data management and mailing services is looking to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic finance trainee as part of its established graduate development programme.

The Position:

Reporting to the company's Finance Manager, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for:

* Preparing month-end profit & loss

* Reviewing sales and purchase ledgers

* Producing balance sheet reconciliations

* Cash flow monitoring and bank reconciliations

* Supporting external audit processes to produce statutory accounts

* Assisting with quarterly forecasting and budgets

* Overseeing credit control

* Ensuring that all staff expenses are completed on time and in line with deadlines

The graduate development programme may include external studies for which full support will be provided by our client.

The Candidate:

Applicants will ideally be degree qualified in finance, accounting, accountancy or a related discipline but our client is equally open to hearing from individuals who have worked in a similar role for the past year or two and are looking to take their career to the next level. In either instance, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

* Competence in the use of Management Information Systems, Excel and Sage

* A desire to become (if not already) a member of ACCA or CIMA

* The ability to manage time effectively to ensure efficient completion of tasks under the pressure of deadlines

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external stakeholders at a high level

* Professionalism, maturity and a strong desire to learn, progress and grow within the business

* Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical problem solving skills

* An understanding of the need for privacy, strict compliance and security measures in dealing with confidential business information and sensitive data
