Programme Planner/Delivery Manager

We are looking for a SC cleared Programme Planner/Delivery Manager to support the Programme Manager and Assistant Head in the programme definition phase. You will have recognised Programme and Project Management qualifications i.e. Managing Successful Programmes (Practitioner)/Agile & or Prince 2 (Practitioner) & ideally MoD/Government experience.
Defence Business Services in Ministry of Defences Shared Services organisation, providing corporate services including Military HR, Veterans services, Civilian HR, Finance & Procurement Services and Vetting Services to all UK Government departments. DBS are embarking on a transformation programme to modernise the delivery of services by exploiting new technology and refreshing the operating model across a range of dimensions. The programme aims to deliver improved outcomes for end users and corporate customers, improve Defence making through better management information and enable wider Defence reform. A number of initiatives across DBS have been identified and a programme titled DBS Modernisation is being formed as the delivery vehicle.
Key tasks:
- Programme structure design, governance, roles & responsibilities etc.
- Development of programme strategies
- Programme Planning including dependency mapping
- Benefits mapping & realisation planning
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Support programme design structure, governance, roles & responsibilities etc.
- Support the development of programme strategies
- Programme Planning including dependency mapping
- Benefits mapping and realisation planning
- Support the development of programme business case
- Beyond the programme definition phase, the role will evolve to focus on the delivery of projects within the programme.
As well as the specific experience required above you will have the necessary qualifications, skills & experience of a Planner/Delivery manager to take control of this requirement from its inception to its completion.
