The Awards Development Assistant will join the Marketing team and will be reporting to the Senior Marketing Executive.

This is a temporary part-time role working 3 days a week for the first 6 months with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Ideally looking for someone to start in January 2019.

The Awards Development Assistant is responsible for effectively securing entries into the company's awards schemes.

The role is responsible for achieving the targeted amount of entries via email and telephone communication, ensuring that the awards are a success. This role communicates the company's awards schemes to a vast range of companies, from both small and large enterprises, on a global scale.

The Awards Development Assistant also manages the post deadline process, working with both internal and external suppliers to produce certificates and trophies, communicating to entrants, sorting out the shortlist process and ensuring all elements of the awards package are supplied.

Key responsibilities

- Ensuring that the awards revenue targets are met and exceeded.
- Contacting as many sales targets as possible via email, phone and social media leads.
- Prioritising sales leads and managing a sales pipeline.
- To manage the post-deadline processes with entrants, internal departments and external suppliers.
- To use all available forms of media to promote the awards.

Candidate attributes

- Confident at selling on the phone and to people where English isn't their first language.
- Accurate written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
- Experience in tracking response rates.
- Experience in a telesales style role is desirable but not essential.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Planning and organising.
- Proactivity and initiative.
- Always thinking about the customer's needs.

Conditions and benefits
