We understand and appreciate our customers all have different circumstances and restraints with regards to payment of water bills and we proactively offer solutions and plans to meet these requirements.

Essential to offering the highest standards of service and integrity to our valued customers is our Developer Services Income team who are looking for a new Income Team Member to join our busy and helpful team in our Huntingdon offices on an initial 6 month fixed term contract.

What will you be doing?

Providing a helpful and proactive service, you'll ensure billing is carried out in a timely and accurate manner and help maximise income from Developer Services activities and minimise debt. You'll process payments onto SAP and bank cheques on a daily basis as you contribute to a determined team meeting challenging yet realistic targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Actively participate in debt recovery activities such as telephone recovery through to Legal action, monitor levels of debt, and improve age of debt profiles to achieve business aims.
  • Establish appropriate and cost effective communication methods with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships.
  • Accurately and regularly update systems and databases ensuring files are kept up-to-date.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives designed to keep us at the forefront of the industry and deliver the best customer service.
What do you need?

As our next Income Team Member, we are looking for you to be educated to GCSE level and have gained significant experience in a demanding and busy customer service environment. With strong IT skills including Word, Excel and SAP, you'll be a clear communicator with the confidence to make outbound calls to customers.

Previous experience in a deb to recovery or billing related role would be beneficial but more important is a drive and enthusiasm to delivery consistent customer excellence.
