We are seeking a HRIS Analyst for the Payroll side of HR and IS including P2P and Cognos reporting experience. Ideally, you will have implementation experience as well to help with the new modules being delivered. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Analyst with hands on skills to lead & assist in the improvements and configuration needs for the HR, Payroll and Bens requirements. You will be involved in working with the HR Director and the Payroll and Benefits Manager & Teams to help improve the simplicity of the applications and workflow/short-cuts for the HR & Payroll Team.

You will work with the HR and Applications IT Team to design and implement new continuous improvements of the HR Information System (HRIS). You will need some experience of Northgate ResourceLink functionality and ideally some of their Self Service features. HR, Time and Attendance is running on Kronos as there is a large workforce, including manual workers of almost 2000 employees. BI & Reporting is integrated using COGNOS so any experience in this this would also be good but other BI based reporting could work too. You will be responsible, with the Business Analyst and Applications Development Manager to identify improvements to be made to the HR Information System. Also creating skills transfer information, basic troubleshooting guides etc. to enable the HR users & the Payroll Team with changes, carrying out Change Management processes and owning full change life cycle through to Training and on-going Development needs.

There are many improvements to be made and knowledge share on how to use the Payroll Applications for new users etc. Also integrated Applications of other key Company systems (eg Time and attendance systems, active directories and the learning management system). In addition, you will be responsible for managing and quality, assuring the integrity of HR data on a day to day basis, creating and generating accurate, user friendly HR reports, and providing training for Report generation for other MIS & HR & Benefits system users.

You will be a team player, with a positive can-do' attitude and be able to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to effectively analyse business processes, then develop and deliver solutions that meet the business needs. You will need to demonstrate experience working within a fast paced HRIS or similar environment, managing demanding and multiple projects, even conflicting deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Some experience of Northgate ResourceLink during your career and some of the following:

  • Collaborates, consults and partners with HR & business owners regarding business needs and effectively discusses technical and functional resource availability, scalability etc.
  • Translates business needs into functional and non-functional requirements utilizing standard HRIS process models in order to support HRP Business requirements
  • Creates the flow diagrams of as is and to be processes and establish business rules and mappings with some assistance from Applications Manager
  • Can write functional specifications based on User Stories for development for Third Parties to Tender for.
  • Content workflow could include:
  • Works with HRIS team in developing and scheduling standard reports for ongoing customer needs
  • Maintains data integrity in system by running queries, analysing and correcting the data as needed
  • Performs analysis of HRIS systems by researching and identifying the root cause for potential data problems such as system limitations or design, user error or lack of standard procedures to recommend and make improvements.
  • Understands basic to complex End-User issues such as Passwords, human error response times etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to maximize HR& Payroll Apps, P2P & IS for the benefit of the company.
  • Degree in HR or CIPD Level 5 or similar
