Safety Engineer - Defence, Fault Tree Analysis, ARM Requirements
A Safety Engineer with Defence, Fault Tree Analysis is required to work on a six month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client> based in Lancashire
This is a contract position with one of the Uks leading Defence clients
Overview of the Safety Engineers contract role
This role is to join the existing safety team that are involved with delivering on a Major UK Defence project.
Key skills required for the Safety Engineer
* Experience of Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA)
* Experience of Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
* Experience of Event Tree Analysis (ETA)
* Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA)
* Accident Sequence Modelling;
* Fault Schedules;
* Hazard & Operability Analysis (HAZOP)
* Zonal Hazard Analysis (ZHA)
* Experience in using safety standards and guidance:
g. IEC61508, DO178, DEF-STAN-00-56, ARP-4761
* Setting integrity requirements (e.g. SIL, DAL)
* Providing/ eliciting compliance evidence to standards and requirements;
* Dealing with Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) equipment;
* Dealing with Software of Unknown Pedigree (SOUP).
* Developing Safety Functional Requirements (SFRs)
* Deriving safety requirements on systems, components and testing from safety analyses
* Setting Availability, Reliability & Maintainability (ARM) requirements;
