Junior Project Manager

Our client is a regional general builder, who undertake bespoke residential projects and small commercial refurbishments across Cambridge and the surrounding area, with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship.

They are currently looking for a Junior Project Manager on a permanent basis and salary would be up to GBP32k depending on experience. You could also be from a trades background and are looking to come off the tools and move into an office based role, as they are willing to train the right candidate.

The role will see you provide advice and guidance to clients and delivery teams from the inception of a project through to handove. A strong understanding of construction methods is a must as is the ability to read drawings, think on your feet and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities:
- Managing multiple projects from start to finish
- Ensure projects run within timeframe and to budget
- Manage site staff and be a point of contact for any site related issues
- Procurement of sub-contract works including documentation and compliance
- Effective communication with clients, suppliers, external consultants and colleagues through to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience
- Construction related Degree / on site experience
- Previous experience working for a main contractor is preferred, ideally 1-3 years

- Experience with refurbishments, new builds, extensions, loft conversions is ideal
- UK Full Driving License
