Garden Centre Operative based in Gobowen, Oswestry, Shropshire offering a salary of £9,275 per annum. Working Friday, Saturday and Sunday Only.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Garden Centre Operative to join our horticultural team. You will be support the Garden Centre with operational tasks including watering, deliveries, customer support, visual merchandising and stock control/pricing.

The role of Garden Centre Operative:
- Watering, weeding and general maintenance work within the Garden Centre areas to ensure a high standard is maintained at all times.
- To ensure all new stock is priced and displayed accordingly working with the Garden Centre/ Horticultural team.
- To support weekend staff in the Garden Centre Shop
- Actively promote commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
- Health & Safety awareness and promotion in all aspects of the job role
- To be aware of and work in accordance with the college’s safeguarding procedures to promote the welfare of vulnerable young people raising any concerns.
- Work alongside clients/student ensuring all plants and stock are maintained and displays look exceptional.
The ideal Garden Centre Operative
- Keen interest in horticulture
- Plant knowledge is desirable
- Experience of working in a customer facing role
- Self motivated with the ability to work using your own initiative and work as part of a team
- Be creative and have an eye for detail
- Have a flexible approach to work
