We are currently working with an established and trusted composite manufacturing company based in the Derby area, that are looking to recruit a Composite Technician to join their team.
Our client supplies into the Aerospace, MOD, Motor Sport and Satellite Communications industries where attention to detail is of the upmost importance
This is a fast and growing industry that is estimated to grow up to 6% over the next five years, with the biggest growth likely to be in aerospace and wind energy. This is replicated by my client as they have seen a huge growth in turnover over the last 2 years and in turn are growing their team.
As a Composite Technician your duties and responsibilities will include:
* Trim and fit components/moulds as specified by customer drawings;
* Ensure components/Moulds are trimmed and fitted in a timely manner
* De-moulding components without damaging either the part or the mould
* Using Fibreglass/Composite trimming tools
* Excellent understanding and interpretation of complex technical drawings
* Able to highlight issues relating to the trimming and fitting procedure
* The skill and ability to trim various complex components and moulds
* To fit complex or various standards of components with relevant inserts/fixings
* Finish components and moulds to the highest of standards
To be successful as a Composite Technician you will need the following Experience/Qualifications;
* Trim & Fit tools & usage
* Trimming of component
* Inserts and Fixings
* Fitting of components
* Bonding Procedure & Adhesives
* Hole Tapping
* Keensert Installation
* Surface Preparation
* Repair Procedures
* Unit Assembly Procedures
* Post Cure / New Mould Preparation
* The ability to read and understand technical drawings
This position is easily commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Mansfield, Leicester and Stoke-on-Trent
