Project Supervisor- Highways Maintenance & Operations

Long-term assignment working on one of the largest Highways contracts in Europe.

Your new role
You will be Managing and preparing such as Highways Civil Emergency and Business Continuity Plans, Traffic Regulation Orders, develop Winter Maintenance Plan and the delivery of highway services associated with Special Events.
You will prepare periodic reports, statistics, and answers to enquiries concerning the programmes and ensure high standards of programming are carried out to meet client and contract requirements. You will track progress, incorporate changes and forecast delivery dates and expenditure and develop and improve working practices and seek innovative solutions. You will also be accountable for monitoring, reporting and developing all relevant programmes.

What you'll need to succeed

Our client is looking for a Highway Maintenance Operations expert, with fantastic project management skills and knowledge and a methodical approach with great attention to detail. You will have the ability and knowledge to anticipate and deal with challenges as they rise.

An ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of traffic engineering and control principles, traffic related legislation, highways construction standards and an appreciation of Civil Contingencies legislation. You will be able to manage various stakeholders both internally and externally, at all levels, demonstrating fantastic communication skills. A fantastic use of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and ideally Microsoft Project in required.

It is essential that you have an understanding of Urban Traffic Regulation Orders and are trained in Civil Emergency Planning, You will be aware or have worked in traffic management and highway design.
