Job Overview:

Our client, a family run, independent social and care provider, is looking for an experienced Finance Administrator to join their small team in Tiverton on a part-time (3 days per week), permanent basis. The main purpose of this role is to provide support to the Directors, assist with financial administration and assist with the general management/HR administrative activities.

Part Time Finance Administrator Responsibilities:

* Answer and direct all telephone calls and act as a point of contact for all enquiries

* Organise and schedule appointments and Directors' diaries

* Collate and process staff timesheets

* Assist with preparing and processing payroll

* Compile and process invoices to 3rd parties

* Maintain an accurate filing system ensuring that all data is entered correctly onto the company finance and HR databases

* Ensure that training certificates are kept up to date for all staff

* Assist in the smooth day to day running of the office

* Any other tasks to support the Operational and HR Manager that are appropriate to the role.

Part Time Finance Administrator Requirements:

* AAT level 3 or qualification in Bookkeeping highly desirable

* Strong attention to detail

* Highly numerate with ability to interpret financial information and pick up discrepancies

* Excellent IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel

* Previous experience using SAGE would be advantageous

* Highly organised

* Good typing skills (touch typing highly desirable)

* A self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative

* Data protection and confidentiality awareness is vitally important

Summary:
The successful candidate will ideally have an accountancy or bookkeeping qualification and have experience working in a professional environment.
