Our client is a family run, not-for-profit organisation, providing residential care and support services designed to meet the diverse needs of over 300 men, women, and children across Merseyside.

They are now looking for a Senior Relational Support Practitioner, acting as a Senior Member of the team to provide support, direction and advice to the Relational Support Practitioners and Housing Officers.

In the role you will provide advice and guidance to Relational Support Practitioners (RSP) and Housing Officers regarding recording processes, support planning and Risk Assessments. Assisting RSP’s with complex case enquiries and recommending alternative interventions aimed at achieving the best possible outcomes for service users, you will support service users to maintain contact and/or engage with specialist agencies (substance misuse services, primary care and mental health services, benefits agencies etc.).

Organising relevant meetings and reviews including statutory case conferences, probation appointments, interagency and or any other meetings relating to service users, you will develop support programmes and accompany users on appointments for screening, testing, GP, GUM, needle exchanges, benefits agency etc. 

They are looking for someone with a minimum of 4 years’ experience working to support outreach services, hostel provisions or in a residential setting. With experience of working with vulnerable women, particularly where they have experienced a risk of homelessness, supporting them through crisis or periods of change you will understand the impact of factors such as homelessness, harm reduction, domestic violence, mental health and complex needs on individuals.

Able to support and develop a staff team and with sound organisational skills, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds.

This role requires someone who is flexible to work days/evenings/weekends.
