A firmly established national organisation who specialise in everything from domestic and commercial relocation, removals, storage and crate hire to highly skilled change and project management services is recruiting an HR Manager based at the businesses head office in Cheshire.

The business has enjoyed considerable success and is now embarking on a sustained period of growth having recently won major contracts with national Facilities Management businesses and government bodies. As such, and to underpin the continued growth, we are recruiting this role to work closely with the senior management team to further develop its People Strategy and assume responsibility for all generalist HR management.

The company has long term contracts with large corporate businesses, public sector bodies and national facilities management companies and as a result has dedicated resource centres throughout the UK enabling to provide specialist moving services to vast array of organisations in a wide range of industry sectors. As a result the business has ambitious headcount growth targets to achieve

The key responsibilities of the HR Manager include:

Assume responsibility for all generalist HR Management
Developing the ongoing People strategy across the entire business to include:

Talent attraction
Employee retention and engagement
Headcount forecasting
Work closely with Head of Learning and Development to implement a wide range of internal and external training courses and qualification
Support Regional Management with short and medium term Resource Planning

Management of HR system in a timely and accurate manner, recording of all information and ensuring both GDPR and internal compliance

Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy
Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment and knowledge share best practice with them
Develop HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes.
Drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals
Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary
Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation

What does the ideal HR Manager look like:

CIPD qualification
Previous generalist HR Management experience within an acquisitive and growing business with a varied, national workforce
Exceptional organisational and communication skills
Proven leadership experience and knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
Proven exposure to volume talent acquisition both in terms of strategically planning and tactical delivery
Natural ability to ensure the wider business understands the value that an efficient HR function delivers
