Medicinal Chemist - Project Leader

We are currently looking for Medicinal ChemistryPrincipal Scientists or Group Leaders for a Drug Discovery company. Joining this rapidly growing company you will manage a team of multi-discipline Scientists to deliver key projects for the company.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and plan small molecule drug discovery projects including hit identification, hit to lead and lead optimisation campaigns.
• Manage resources and a team of Medicinal Chemists and project teams to deliver potential drug compounds to project timescales.
• Prepare and review written reports and presentations detailing project progress and strategy.
• Oversee the synthesis and troubleshoot a wide range of novel drug molecules from milligram to multigram scale.

Ideal candidates:

Will have a PhD in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry and have experience in drug discovery gained within the pharmaceutical, CRO or Biotech industry. You will have a track record in leading teams or projects in the discovery of small-molecule drugs and have exceptional skills in synthetic organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry.
