Our client is based in the Park Royal area and has been established within their industry for many years, building up a steady reputation and a solid clientele base. Due to their growth (they have curently 4 new sites opening in the country) they are looking for support within their team to help cut metal on a temp to permanent position.
Skills
The trainee machinist/driver job is a brilliant opportunity for those willing to learn a trade. As the company deal with bespoke machinery to cut a variety of metal.
You do not have to come from a metal background as extensive training will be provided.
You must be physically active as the position is slightly labour intensive so will not mind getting your hands dirty.
You will learn to use a variety of heavy machinery from guillotines to bandsaws to grinders.
The multi tasked role requires you to have a driver's license that is capable of driving a 3.5T vehicle, as they have customers further afield.
If you are interested to drive a forklift this company will train you in either Reach or Counterbalance to attain a license.
Your background is not the most important, as the client will consider more your willingness to work, reliability and your yearning to learn new skills, this will indicate whether you are the right candidate for this job and how your position will lead to a permanent one.
Shifts
This will be one of two days shift:
Either 7am to 4pm Or 8 am to 5pm Monday to Friday
And every second Saturday 8am to 12pm
Rate
The hourly rate for this temp to permanent role is between GBP8.75 and GBP9p/h
There also incentives to bump up your pay in:
Attendance Bonus
Sales Target Bonus
These are both regularly achieved by their current staff
Location
The role is based in Park Royal but those willing to travel from the surrounding areas in Harrow, Harelesden, Alperton, Wembley, Ealing or White City should apply.
