We are urgently seeking to recruit an experienced Front of House Supervisor.
Our client, is a nineteenth-century public house. The landlord renovated the pub in June 2012 with the vision to create something unique for Newbury.
Guests of the site, enjoy the atmosphere and above all, the great food and drink. Downstairs there is the spacious and relaxing bar area with stitched Chesterfield seating. During the colder months, the open brick fire is a favourite place for guests to gather for a drink and catch up.
The site has a great selection of wines and this is something the owners are proud of. The wines can be seen on display in racks around the restaurant. There is also a good selection of whiskey or gins and there is a fine choice on the back bar. Where possible this site also supports local brewery's and have 3 cask ales on tap.
The restaurant serves a British menu with a twist that has seen them regularly feature in the Michelin Guide and Alistair Sawday's Special Places to Eat and Drink. They are proud of the multiple awards and other recognition received.
Theere is a roof terrace with its own bar and it is a sun trap in the summer where guests can enjoy cocktails and pizza from the pizza oven. The retractable awning and heating give it a real cosy feel in the winter too.
Throughout you will see the owners influences. From the paintings to the hand-crafted artwork on the wall and the quirky decorations.
