Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Sutton Coldfield
Company: Established Main Contractor
Salary: GBP45k-GBP55k + car/allowance & comprehensive benefits package
The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity exists for a senior quantity surveyor to work for a main contractor with a turnover in excess of GBP100 million a year. Due to a strong pipeline of work and a number of new projects starting, they're looking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of a Project QS.
The successful applicant will initially be responsible for two commercial projects at a combined value of GBP6m. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be office based with weekly site visits to the project which are located in the West Midlands.
Key Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor (post-graduation)
Main contractor background
Exposure to new build and refurbishment projects across a range of sectors to include at least one of the following sectors - commercial, care homes, education and leisure
Knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT &/or NEC)
Stable track record of employment
Hold a relevant industry qualification (Degree, HND/C)
Will ideally live North Birmingham
