Description
As an Electrical Supervisor, candidates will:
- Undertake the "Qualifying Manager's" day-to-day responsibility for the safety, quality and technical standard of electrical works undertaken by Trust staff or by contractor and ensure the results of inspection, testing and verification process are accurately recorded on the appropriate forms for certification.
- To undertake annual servicing for responsive, planned maintenance and annual gas servicing of mechanical services in line with Gas Safe Regulations, British Standards, Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Regulations and any other relevant legislation covering safety in the workplace for self and others
Profile
Successful candidates will:
- Hold City & Guilds Part III /NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation or other equivalent qualification
- City & Guilds 17th Edition Wiring Regulations - 2382 or latest edition
- City & Guilds 2391 Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations Heating Installation Operative
- Qualifying Supervisor status under NICEIC Registration or similar
- Extensive post qualification experience in electrical repairs, maintenance and installation work.
- Understands processes relating to electrical inspections, defect analysis, and specifying repairs and maintenance works.
- Able to provide advice on, for example, security, fire regulations, energy efficiency, etc. where appropriate experience of supervising multi-trade staff and/or contract labour.
