Agricultural Service Technician
Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP28,000
Our client is a family owned and managed agricultural machinery distributor of AGCO products including Massey Ferguson, Challenger, Fendt & Valtra. As East Anglia's premier agricultural machinery dealers, they take pride in delivering a high quality service to their expanding customer base. This is achieved by employing staff that take pride in their work and demonstrate a genuine interest in ensuring their customers receive excellent customer service.
Compass Point Recruitment is currently working on behalf of this business to engage and recruit 2 Agricultural Service Technicians to join their friendly teams at the Littleport (near Ely, Cambridgeshire) and Hinderclay (in Suffolk, south of Diss) branches.
The Service Technician will be providing a comprehensive technical service, including pre-delivery inspections, repairs and rectifications.
You will be responsible for:
o Conducting pre-delivery inspections
o Carrying out scheduled service maintenance
o Carrying out scheduled rectification programmes
o Fault-finding and diagnosis
o Recommending repair solutions to customers & managers
o Carrying our repairs and rectifications as agreed
o Promoting dealership services to customers
o Compliance with manufacturer service procedures
o Compliance with personal training and development plan
o Compliance with company health and safety procedures
o Maintaining van and working area cleanliness
o Accurate administration completion
You will need:
o To be able to work as part of a team
o To be able to communicate and liaise with customers, colleagues, manufacturers and suppliers
o Significant experience servicing and repairing agricultural machinery
o Ideally, previous experience working on the AGCO product range but full manufacturer training is provided.
A Full UK Driving licence is essential.
They pay a competitive hourly rate based on your qualifications and skills, a contributory pension scheme, Death in service insurance, 23 days holiday, a commercial vehicle for business use, phone, laptop if required.
Core hours of work are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday-Thursday and 8.00am to 4.00pm on Friday. However, you will be required to commit to a Saturday rota and work additional hours at short notice (including weekends at peak times) to meet the needs of the business. An enhanced hourly rate is paid for overtime.
