Packaging Designer - AutoCAD (Contract) 
Clevedon, Bristol 

The Company 

Our client is a logistics and specialist packaging business that supports companies across the world. Their expertly engineered solutions add value, reduce cost, raise productivity and make best use of resources. 

They are now seeking a Packaging Designer to join their team in Clevedon and help to create exciting, innovative packaging for a temporary contract until April 2019.

You’ll discover our client focuses on environmentally-friendly products and produces incredible solutions for everything from air-dropped military supplies to day-to-day protective items. 

There’s also the potential for further opportunities to arise during the course of this short-term contract.

Your Role 

As a Packaging Designer, you’ll join a specialist unit that’s dedicated to the design, manufacture and supply of solutions through foam engineering and conversion. 

Working with a range of materials, you'll be helping to design and develop an array of packaging for our customers, in particular to service a ‘Foam’ based Kitting Project. 

About You 

To be considered as a Packaging Designer, you will need: 

- Previous experience of AutoCAD and the ability to adapt these skills to packaging design
- The ability to work well as part of a team 
- Strong communication skills and a close attention to detail 

Some experience with SolidWorks or SolidCAM would be advantageous. 

Other organisations may call this role Packaging Designer, Product Designer, Commercial Packaging Designer, Design Technologist, Packaging Design Technician, Packaging Technologist, Designer, Design Engineer, Packaging Engineer, or CAD Engineer. 

The working hours for this role are 08:00 – 17:00 Mon – Thursday and 08:00 – 12:30 Friday.
