Monarch Education are representing a smaller than the average-sized secondary school, just north of Cambridge that are looking to recruit a History teacher.

The school meets the government's current floor standards, which are the minimum expectations for pupils' attainment and progress in English and mathematics by the end of Year 11. It has specialist SEN facilities on site and has been graded as a GOOD school with excellent senior management and support.

Monarch Education wish to appoint a classroom practitioner who can demonstrate a clear sense of purpose and high expectations in this highly successful and popular department across this high performing school.

The school have had excellent results for History in KS4 and KS5 for a number of years, and they wish to continue their success this academic year. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified history teacher. It will be essential for the successful candidate to be able to drive forward a humanities curriculum in KS3 as well as being able to deliver high quality teaching of history in KS4
and KS5.

The school is committed to further improve standards and will support the successful candidate to achieve their high ambitions with a bespoke CPD programme.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, it is essential that you possess Qualified Teacher Status and have experience of teaching History to KS5.
