Examinations Officer

35 hours per week, Term-time plus 2 weeks (41 weeks per year)

The College requires an Examinations Officer to administer all external and internal examinations for the College’s students. This is a vital role which requires exceptional organisation skills, attention to detail and methodical working.  You should have experience of administering educational exams and have a knowledge of examination procedures OR to be able to demonstrate experience in a role which has required close attention to detail, the ability to work to the very highest level of administrative detail and to communicate effectively with other professionals.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate.  We expect high performance from all our staff and are looking for a member of staff who will be able to, at specific times work under pressure to ensure exams are seamlessly administered.  Candidates should demonstrate their ability and suitability to both the role and the culture of the College. 

Hours:         

35 hours per week, Term-time only plus two weeks (totalling 41 weeks per year). 

Flexibility will be required during exam periods and hours may be exceeded during this time to ensure exams are started and finished effectively.   The two additional weeks, outside of the standard term-time of 39 weeks, will be required over the GCSE and A Level summer exam results period in August each year.

Salary:

FTE is £25,445 plus £1,004 fringe allowance per annum

Actual salary £22,591.85 per annum (incl. of fringe allowance) for 35 hours per week, term-time plus two weeks (totalling 41 weeks per year)

Start date: January 2019
