Salary £44,000 - £52,000 depending on skills and qualifications
Our client has an opportunity for an Electrical & Instrumentation Project Engineer. Reporting to the Power & Control Engineer, you would be responsible for providing electrical and instrumentation project management and supervision on engineering projects at their Grimsby TENCEL® Fibre continuous operation factory site.
You will manage projects from initial scope and develop them into detailed project plans. This will include preparing initial cost estimates in liaison with internal departments and external suppliers and preparing capital vouchers in liaison with finance.
You will be required to develop detailed written specifications for equipment and services required for the tendering process and communicate project plans which contain key milestones. You will also be expected to manage service providers and the installation of equipment as well as supporting the commissioning process of new/modified equipment and manage design changes such that implications and costs are adequately considered and agreed. Reporting project progress on a regular basis to local management and providing technical support to the process and engineering teams is also a requirement of the job. You will be expected to maintain and, where possible, improve the SHE standards of both your own team and that of any contractors associated with the project work carried out on their site.
The successful candidate will ideally have an electrical or instrumentation engineering degree, an IOSH / NEBOSH qualification and will have the vision, drive and experience to further develop our engineering team.
You will be a dedicated and hardworking person sharing their values and principles bringing the right skills and personal qualities to their Grimsby team and be able to contribute in a flexible, effective and productive way. A proven track record ideally within a chemical, manufacturing or power industry environment will be an advantage.
