A private day nursery in Bristol are looking for two preschool practitioner's to start immediately
Your new nursery
You will be working in a private day nursery in South Bristol. This nursery cares for children from 3 months up to 5 years, there are three rooms catering for different age groups. The nursery can place up to 40 children and each child is assigned to a key person to ensure they are getting the care they require. The team of friendly and skilled staff focus on the children's development ready for primary education. The nursery opens onto a large private back garden with appropriate and fun outdoor activities that are encouraged to be used daily.
Your new job
These job are to be based in the preschool room where the nursery can place up to 24 children. You will be assigned key children and you will be responsible for their daily care. You will be keeping track of the children's development, creating learning journals and adapting activities to suit their needs. You must be confident in talking with parents and carers to relay sensitive feedback. The job is to work full time hours, five days a week on a long term basis.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role you must either hold a qualified in Early Years childcare or have extensive experience within a nursery setting. You must also be confident in working with children of preschool age. You must be passionate about childcare and have excellent EYFS knowledge and commit to working with the staff to maintain and develop the nurseries standards. It is desirable that you are food hygiene and first aid trained.
