A local contractor is looking for a Qualified Electrician to work at various sites throughout the south west. Our client supplies a wide range of services to the public sector, utility companies, industrial, commercial, and retail customers. They provide specialist services in all aspects of water hygiene, distribution network repair and maintenance.
Our client is looking for someone who has completed the following
• Engineering craft apprenticeship, City and Guilds Parts 1+2
• 16th Edition certification
• Inspection, test, and verification certificate
As a Qualified Electrician you will be responsible for:
• Observes codes of practice and procedures BS7671
• Able to rectify complex faults within limited timescales
• Completes projects, tests, commissions, and verifies
• Understands I/O drawings, building and plants schematics
• Actively seeks/provides information to assist with the efficient delivery of work
• Can be relied upon to work anywhere on a variety of projects at short notice.
• Able to assess individual jobs and identify potential hazards
• Provides supervisor with sufficient detail to complete risk assessments and method statements
• Will stop unsafe practices and take corrective actions
• Able to fault find and solve complex problems with a minimum amount of assistance
• Successfully delivers complex projects from concept to completion
• Produces simple manpower plan and identifies type of volume of material required to complete work
• Establishes good working relationships with clients that often generates additional business opportunities
The successful candidate for the role of qualified electrician will:
• Have a minimum of four years post apprenticeship work in installation, maintenance of pumping plant drives and controls. PLC experience
• Work is always completed right first time
• Works with a minimum level of supervision
• Full clean driving license
This is a permanent role with salary between GBP27,000 to GBP32,000. The working hours are approximately 0800 to 1630, (this will change depending on where you need to travel), Monday to Friday, dependant on experience.
