This council is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a 'can-do' approach to join their Finance Team during an exciting period of change and innovation. This role provides an excellent opportunity to help shape the delivery of financial services.
The post will support the Finance Manager to:
- Maintain and develop an effective financial management framework
- Prepare and contribute to the overall financial strategy of the organisation
- Be a key part in supporting the internal control system and risk management framework
- Support the shared procurement, finance and internal audit arrangements and develop associated strategies to be applied within the Council
- Provide financial support with bid applications for external funding and reviewing business cases
You will have excellent communication and relationship management skills with a positive commitment to achieving the best value for money whilst delivering key services.
This role is ideally suited for an individual who is a part-qualified accountant and who wants to expand their knowledge and experiences working across all areas of a district council. There is also the scope for a training package to be identified if the candidate wishes to finish their qualification in a supportive and dynamic environment.
