Job Title - Surveyor/Estimator
Salary - Negotiable
Location - Kent, Surrey, Sussex
Insurance repair projects - private domestic properties.
We are looking for a Contracts Surveyor/Estimator to join an expanding and well known building contractor in the Kent area. The Contracts Surveyor/Estimator/Manager will manage multiple value projects (Project value will be from GBP3000-GBP100,000), dealing with multiple insurance repair projects on residential properties; overseeing the surveying aspect of all claims & dealing with the operational side of each job, keeping track of the progress in order to regularly add or delete variations to suit each claim process.
Job role and responsibilities
This role will only suit an experienced Contracts Surveyor/Estimator/Manager who has worked within the insurance claims repairs industry. Reporting into the Commercial Director the candidate will have full operational responsibility all surveys. Management & scheduling of high value projects is key to maintain client expectations.
Including:
?? Scheduling and programming a number of residential refurbishments following insurance claims (fire, flood & impact)
?? Managing spend & profit budgets on each project
?? Monitoring all KPIs and SLAs and reporting on these
?? Allocating and scheduling resource (sub-contractors)
?? Manage and monitor variations to the contract, ensuring delays are minimised and profitability is achieved
?? Dealing with any issues arising throughout the works and managing complaints
?? Ensuring Health & Safety regulations are highlighted at time of surveys & follow thru is actioned
?? Holding regular meetings with office team to review the contract and specific jobs, KPI performance
?? Liaising with internal departments, third parties and homeowners, building strong working relationships and ensuring records are kept up to date throughout the lifecycle of each project
?? Identify possible areas of growth for the business and develop a strong team of sub-contractors
What skills/experience will you need?
For this role you will need to demonstrate experience in managing valued insurance claim repairs projects from inception to completion. You will need a strong background in residential property building/refurbishments and have had experience in managing sub-contractors. This role will require someone who has held responsibility for KPIs and SLAs and who has managed relationships with clients (i.e. insurance companies/loss adjusters) or attended review meetings. Experience in dealing with insurance claims is essential.
