A long-established family owned produce business, our client grows and sources salad & veg worldwide, packing, marketing and distributing throughout the UK. Their success and business acumen has made them a highly respected supplier and employer within their sector and they now seek an enthusiastic and fresh produce experienced Customer Technical Managerto join their team.

In this role you will take full responsibility for all technical areas relating to product safety, legality and quality and proactively manage relationships accordingly with customers. You will consider all options to raise standards and give a point of difference. You will also need to help the quality team successfully manage day to day product quality. Extensive experience of managing BRC, HACCP and PPU's are a pre-requisite. A working knowledge of on-line systems such as Sedex, Micros and Greenlight would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be able to represent the organisation in the UK and as necessary overseas, liaising with suppliers, fellow employees and customers.

Excellent inter-personnel, IT and communication skills are absolutely essential.

An aptitude for dealing with people of different nationalities and cultures in an assertive, confident and natural manner is also desirable.

Experience in the fresh produce sector is preferable but not a pre-requisite. Major retail experience is crucial.
