Harvey Nash is working with a prestigious organisation in Halifax (West Yorkshire) to help them recruit an experienced Legal Procurement Officer.
My client are going through a huge digital transformation programme and period of substantial growth.
The successful Legal Procurement Officer will be responsible for:
* Contract reviews (supplier contracts, licensing contracts, professional services)
* Maintaining a contract risk log
* Data privacy document reviews (GDPR)
* Supporting the wider IT Cost Strategy through tight budget controls, price negotiations and identifying cost saving and contract consolidation opportunities
Skills/experience required:
* Previous experience drafting, interpreting and reviewing large complex commercial contracts
* Ability to identify and address risk management issues
* A thorough understanding of the contract management process
* Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills
* Strong awareness of commercial business processes and their reliance and impact on IT
Desirable experience:
* An understanding of purchase ledger processes and financial terminology
* Software licensing knowledge
* Working knowledge of ISO27001 and ISO9001 supplier and risk management frameworks
* Degree
