Joining us as Team Leader, you will be responsible for curriculum standards and outcomes for FE & HE Early Years and HE Counselling qualifications, with a focus on the delivery of the FE & HE Early Years curriculum as well as the quality of HE provision across the School. 

Monitoring academic staff within the Early Years and Counselling subjects, you will be responsible for the quality of teaching being delivered to students and for ensuring all the Early Years and Counselling qualifications meet the needs, standards and requirements of all partners, including awarding bodies, employers and higher education institutions. The Team Leader will also coordinate schemes of work and assessment schedules, manage the curriculum area self-assessment and staff development, and mentor and support NQT’s.

So, if you are educated to Degree level or hold a professional qualification in Early Years, then we want to hear from you! You’ll have excellent teaching skills, recognised as a good or better teacher, and have experience of leading and managing Early Years and Counselling FE and HE with a track record of making sustained improvements. You’ll have previous success of monitoring and supporting ‘at risk’ learners to achieve or exceed their potential and have current knowledge of impending curriculum changes and the implications for teaching and learning strategies.

Experience of managing, supporting and developing staff would be beneficial, but is not essential. We also ask that you hold a teaching qualification or are willing to gain one in line with current regulations.

This position is based at Kingston College.
