Role: Quality Inspector
Duration: Temporary - approx. 6 months
Location: Burgess Hill
Rate of Pay: Circa GBP12.50 p/h
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
We are currently working with a centrally located manufacturing company within Burgess Hill who are seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team in an ongoing temporary capacity. This role is available immediately and will see the successful candidate working within a factory environment, inspecting all incoming goods for non-conformities.
This position would suit someone who is seeking a new role within the engineering/manufacturing sector or that has recently graduated from an engineering qualification. You will need to have an excellent eye for details, are thorough in your approach to your work and have good all round organisational and administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect all incoming goods within outlined guides
* Log any detected non-conformities on the ERP system
* Liaise with internal departments and any interested parties about detected issues
* Ensure resolutions are in place and closed once completed
* Build and maintain excellent working relationships with suppliers
* Liaise with suppliers regarding issues detected and ensure cooperation to resolve issues
* Log plant specific scrap and rework issues
Required Skills
* Experience in a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential
* Experience gained in a manufacturing environment is essential
* Must understand engineering principals
* Excellent attention to detail
* Goods communication and rapport building skills
* Good administration and organisational skills
* Able to work independently and take initiative
* IT literate
