1st / 2nd Line IT Support Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced 1st/2nd line IT Support Technician to join a long established, Microsoft certified IT managed service provider. The core business is installing and maintaining IT systems for educational and business customers around the Pontefract & Wakefield area.

You will provide first and second line onsite desktop, server and infrastructure support to their Primary School education and business clients around the Pontefract area. You will be field based and expected to travel between sites.

You should have the ability to work well on your own and also as part of a team. You need to be punctual, able to meet deadlines and have excellent administration skills.

Key Skills and Experience:

- Excellent understanding of Windows 7 & 10
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2008, 2012 & 2016.
- Support users on MS Office 2013, 2016 & Office 365
- Understanding of Exchange Server and Active Directory
- Experience of PC Imaging- SCCM & Microsoft WDS
- Installation and configuration of software
- Experience of Hyper-V, VMWare and Veeam
- Troubleshoot and resolve printing problems
- Excellent communication with third party providers and end users
- Find solutions to problems and have a hands-on approach to support activities
- A positive outlook and a "can do attitude"

Previous experience in a similar IT role is essential.
