Full time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant required for a Salford Secondary school to start with immediate effect.

Our client Secondary school wish to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) Provision covering a maternity leave for the current post holder. This exciting SEN Teaching Assistant position would be ideal for a dynamic SEN Teaching Assistant with comprehensive knowledge of the national curriculum and experience working with SEN.

  • Full time SEN Teaching Assistant required for a maternity cover - Immediate start date.
  • Must have previous experience working with SEN within an educational capacity.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted rated 'Good' Secondary school.
  • Experience working with Moderate Learning Difficulties is essential to be considered.
  • Earn up to GBP1300.

This ambitious Secondary school has set high expectations for all members of there staff team, with the head teacher having taken the decisive decision to promote inclusive teaching and learning. The incoming SEN Teaching Assistant will work with MLD students in years 7 to 11 who are well supported by our SENCO and a team of dedicated teaching assistants.

The responsibilities for the incoming SEN Teaching Assistant will include;

  • Work 1:1, in small groups and on an intervention basis with identified pupils.
  • Have excellent communication skills and be approachable whether dealing with learners, parents or colleagues.
  • Required to share the schools passion and vision of helping each pupil achieve their full potential.

Located in the Worsley region of Salford, the school has just over 1000 pupils on roll aged 11-16. There are also numerous public transport options readily available via the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bolton, Bury and Salford.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
