Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.
Position: Dementia Friends Regional Officer
Location: Flexible within the North East of England and Cumbria
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: GBP24,866 actual per annum
Closing date: 02 January 2019
Interview date: TBC
About the role:
Support the delivery of the Dementia Friends programme across the North East and Cumbria and act as the main point of contact for Dementia Friends across the region.
Develop and deliver a first-class volunteering experience, with responsibility for training and managing volunteer Dementia Friends Champions across the region.
Undertake a range of projects, from evaluation to resource development
About you:
Are you an experienced volunteer manager, who knows how to motivate people and can get the best out of volunteers? Are you up for training and managing hundreds of volunteers, enabling them to reach thousands of Dementia Friends? Then come join our great team and be part of this incredible social action movement.
As well as supporting our volunteers, you will get a chance to develop your skills by getting involved in all sorts of projects. From evaluation, to resource development, and representing us at the odd music festival!
