As a Catering Host for St Monica Trust, you'll work with the Front of House Supervisor to ensure our residents and customers have the best possible dining experience.

Day-to-day this means:

* Supporting the Front of House Supervisor with the day-to-day running of service and troubleshooting any issues or problems;

* Taking customer orders and conveying them to colleagues so they can prepare them;

* Processing customer payments in cash, credit and using our EPOS system;

Not everyone can be a Catering Host. So if you're going to spend time applying, let's make sure you have what it takes. You're going to need:

* Experience: of working in a domestic or catering position; front of house experience in a restaurant or hotel setting; of supervising or managing a team, delegating responsibility and motivating them so they can do their best work;

* Knowledge: good food hygiene practices; health and safety best practice; good standard of numeracy and literacy;

* Skills: excellent communication skills; a positive thinking style and good decision-making ability; time management; team working; empathy with individual's needs;
