KS1 SEND Teacher required for a lovely school in North Manchester for January start

Your new company
Hays Education are recruiting on behalf of a high-quality and well-resourced specialist school in the heart of Manchester who are seeking to appoint an experienced and energetic KS1 teacher. This school caters for children with complex SEND at primary level and have a committed and supportive staff, who aim to bring out the best in each child.

Your new role
You will be working as a KS1 teacher as part of their experienced and dedicated staff, delivering the primary curriculum to children with ASC, PMLD and other complex needs. Experience is this setting is essential as the school need their new teacher to hit the ground running in January.

What you'll need to succeed

• PCGE with QTS essential
• Valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a DBS through Hays
• Previous experience dealing with complex SEND needs
• Can use PECS, BSL, Makaton or other alternative communication methods if required
• Be a passionate individual who will inspire and motivate your learners.
• Be able to plan, mark and assess development
• Be able to work as part of a team and support the ethos of a school
• Be flexible, creative and have an active interest in working with ASC pupils
