Our client is a construction consultancy who provide Project Management services to end user clients in the public sector. They have a contract position available for a Project Manager to work on a large highway project in Wales to start with immediate effect.
The ideal candidate will have a wide knowledge of the design and construction processes for highway schemes (including maintenance and minor works) along with a good understanding of tendering processes and technical solutions to any design, cost or delivery issues.

Responsibilities include:

- Create and Manage Scheme progress Authorization Forms
- Short and long term programming
- Tendering for large-scale civils schemes.
- Manage scheme Early Warning Notices and Risk Registers
- Identify risk and liaise with the Commercial team for compliance with program and preparation of Target Prices and Risk Register
- Monthly financial forecasting / Monthly output forecasts,
- Direct Liaison with Supply Chain
- Establish a program and construction method with the Delivery Manager
- Manage & supervise site works
- Provide support to the Portfolio Manager
- Ensure profitability of scheme
- Implementation of lean methodologies and ensure compliance with Quality Plan

The ideal candidate have significant post qualification experience of project management of civils/highways/structures works of GBP50 million plus. They will also have proven experience in a similar role in a main civils contractor environment.
